lyrics
I regret, the first time I choose not to kiss you goodbye
You were running late, had to go, we didn’t try, just told a lie
and made it so
As the days passed, our fast embrace somehow became
more or less, a race
We kept upping the pace, and saying goodbyes in disguise,
hiding our face
Last chance
Last breath
The final dance
The death of romance
I regret, the first time I choose, not to tell you a lie
It was getting late, and I didn’t care I didn’t try to tell you a why
It wasn’t fair
Why do you need a plan just to love me
How can we pick one day of the week
Should it take such an effort to touch me
In passing, just a brush the cheek
Are we fooling ourselves
When it was easy, we never knew it
When it was hard, we just couldn’t do it
Throwing dishes with a, “I’m done, and screw it!”
And that was easy, weren’t nothing to it
Last chance
Last breath
The final dance
The death of romance
The death of romance
